About the role

Responsibilities

  • Match advice notifications with arrival notifications on a daily basis
  • Input data for electronic clearance of eligible shipments
  • Manage paper entries for goods requiring special government clearances, such as CITES and wood products
  • Prepare and transmit B3 documents to Canadian Customs, accounting for duties and taxes on incoming shipments
  • Prepare and submit monthly LVS entries for low-value shipments
  • Handle entries for supplementary payments or drawbacks to Canada Customs when required
  • Prepare and submit CITES permit applications
  • Research NAFTA guidelines for re-exporting U.S.-made goods and create foreign supplier declarations
  • Verify that incoming delivery notes match intra-company invoices and organize documentation for control documents

Requirements

  • University or college degree/diploma
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar customs position
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian customs process
  • Proficiency with SAP and MSR systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
