Customer Technical Development Engineer (Battery)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical support to battery cell manufacturers and separator film producers regarding PVDF products.
• Deliver onsite and remote technical troubleshooting, customer seminars, and technical documentation.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development to identify new opportunities and translate customer needs into material development requirements.
• Support R&I in solution development by tracking customer evaluation progress and collecting feedback.
• Conduct market intelligence analysis and benchmarking studies related to PVDF materials in battery applications.
• Deliver technical training to internal stakeholders regarding materials, applications, and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Material Science, Electrochemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical support, application development, or process engineering within the battery industry.
• Profound understanding of PVDF material properties, battery binder application principles, and separator coating processes.
• Familiarity with battery manufacturing processes and material matching requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical presentation skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel frequently within mainland China (approximately 50% of working time).

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with PVDF binders, separator coating materials, or battery electrode manufacturing.
