About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical support problems for enterprise customers
- Fix customer issues using remote desktop software and provide support via phone and email
- Perform root cause analysis and recreate software bugs in-house
- Work independently and collaboratively to identify solutions and escalate issues to the development team
- Build labs and simulators to test scenarios and contribute to online technical forums
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
- MCP, MCSA, or MCSE Microsoft certification
- 5+ years of technical or customer support experience
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and troubleshooting (event logs, crash dumps, network packets, VSS)
- Strong understanding of networking, connectivity, name resolution, and performance-based issues
- Foundational knowledge of backup theory, data management, and recovery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, clustering technologies, or SAN
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft operating system recovery
- Previous experience with Commvault technologies or other backup software (Veritas, Symantec, Veeam, NetBackup, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise environments
