About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, and electrical safety testing on medical equipment including patient monitoring, ventilators, and anesthesia systems.
- Act as a Philips ambassador on-site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction within the Australian Defence Force deployable health capability program.
- Execute technical service requests and accurately document all service records, diagnostics, and resolutions in the service management system.
- Manage technical escalations and customer complaints, following established processes to ensure timely resolution and stakeholder updates.
- Provide engineering support and level-one repairs for various manufacturers' equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through continuous training and development.
Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the Australian Defence Force (specializing in Communications Electronics, RADAR, Instrumentation, or Avionics).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing service engineering role within the medical equipment industry.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel frequently to various Defense establishments across Australia (QLD, NT, SA, NSW, VIC, and TAS).
- Valid Australian driver's license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Police and Military security clearances.
