Customer Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the operation and maintenance of generators and auxiliary systems during outages and normal operations
• Troubleshoot and maintain generator mechanical/electrical components, control systems, and instrumentation
• Carry out on-site commissioning activities and prepare technical reports
• Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions
• Act as a liaison between field operations and engineering/design teams
• Support RFQ and PO preparation and assist with vendor qualification
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Participate in continuous improvement and Quality Management initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• Proven experience in Generator design, operation, repair, or commissioning
• Proficient knowledge of generator mechanical components (stator, bearings, hydrogen seals, etc.)
• Experience with rotating machine applications, specifically large generators, Gas, or Steam Turbines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in technical report writing and MS Office suite
• Fluency in business English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine operation
• Experience developing technical specifications or proposals
• Knowledge of Japanese language
