About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers to build and maintain long-lasting merchant relationships
- Address merchant queries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
- Drive merchant retention through proactive rate reviews, cross-selling, and product guidance
- Monitor merchant turnover and analyze credit and operating risks associated with business opportunities
- Provide feedback to the business to act as a change catalyst for improving products and services
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, card association rules, and regulatory requirements including KYC/AML/TF
- Deliver regular daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to management
Requirements
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills for both internal and external stakeholders
- High level of verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness within the card payment industry
- Solid time management, planning, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Client-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering professional service
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a similar customer success or account management position
