About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers to build and maintain long-lasting merchant relationships
  • Address merchant queries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
  • Drive merchant retention through proactive rate reviews, cross-selling, and product guidance
  • Monitor merchant turnover and analyze credit and operating risks associated with business opportunities
  • Provide feedback to the business to act as a change catalyst for improving products and services
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, card association rules, and regulatory requirements including KYC/AML/TF
  • Deliver regular daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to management

Requirements

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills for both internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness within the card payment industry
  • Solid time management, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Client-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering professional service

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar customer success or account management position
