Customer Success & DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement and support live news and sports production workflows across SDI and IP (SMPTE 2110/2022-6).
• Configure and troubleshoot playout systems, including SCTE triggers, branding, and loudness compliance.
• Manage the K3s Kubernetes control plane, including cluster initialization, upgrades, and certificate rotation.
• Perform Linux OS administration, including hardening, disk management (LVM), and secure SSH access.
• Maintain the health of the etcd datastore, kubelet, and containerd services.
• Monitor system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana stacks.
• Execute backup and recovery procedures using dump and LVM snapshots, ensuring regular restoration testing.
• Maintain media-processing nodes by monitoring CPU, disk, network, and temperature for high-availability performance.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in broadcast engineering and/or DevOps for live production.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Deep Kubernetes (K3s) expertise, including cluster lifecycle, etcd recovery, RBAC, and persistent volumes.
• Proficiency with RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Solid networking knowledge (Cisco), specifically regarding multicast, QoS, VPN, and routing.
• Domain knowledge in broadcast workflows, including newsrooms, sports live production, and playout systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and travel to client sites within the APAC region.
