About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform food preparation and maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with orders
- Handle cashiering duties and process GET orders
- Stock supplies and maintain a clean, organized café environment
- Follow all Au Bon Pain policies and procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to effectively write and communicate in English
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
- Ability to visibly differentiate colors for food safety purposes
- Ability to work in environments with wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in a food preparation position
- Experience in a high-volume a la carte operation
- Previous successful cash register or MICROS register experience
- Working knowledge of standard commercial kitchen equipment
- Current managerial ServSafe certification
- Experience working with students and a diverse, multicultural staff
