Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, emails, and in-person questions from customers
• Research products and provide recommendations from the assortment
• Enter sales orders via phone, email, and text
• Grow and retain established customer base and develop new business
• Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide accurate delivery dates
• Send and follow up on requests for quotes to vendors
• Process returns and warranty claims in compliance with procedures
• Support inside sales and business activities
• Support the warehouse in picking orders and driving a forklift

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or counter sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Outstanding verbal communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to identify customer needs and close sales
• Ability to learn and operate order processing software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to learn material handling equipment operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with or knowledge of Westlund products
• Experience using Infor M3
