Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk)

Responsibilities

• Manage requests for price quotations, orders, adjustments, and cancellations from customers and labs
• Build and maintain strong rapport with customers and vendors to provide exceptional service
• Handle returns by receiving, sorting, cleaning, and repackaging overstock or defective products
• Assist in the assembly and packaging of frames for monthly auto-kit mailings
• Use PC systems to retrieve customer information, check stock status, and update order details
• Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, quotations, and delivery information
• Maintain a neat, organized work area and ensure compliance with company safety and attendance policies
• Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced coworkers as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or a call center environment
• Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to remain composed in difficult situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in basic PC skills, including MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
