Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, accounts, and payment options professionally and promptly
• Assist patients in understanding billing statements, EOBs, and insurance claims
• Post payments and adjustments accurately in alignment with insurance rules and statements
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and payers to resolve account issues
• Maintain accurate patient records and log all customer interactions in the billing system
• Work collaboratively with team members to resolve complex billing issues and escalate as needed
• Complete tasks efficiently while meeting established productivity and quality standards

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a customer service or front office role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, formulas, and basic functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a hospital or medical office setting
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines
• Ability to clearly convey complex patient account information
