About the role

Responsibilities

  • Issue keys based on customer requisitions and verify authorized signers
  • Update the Key Office database regarding doors, keys, and assignments
  • Provide customer service by answering phones, answering questions, and providing reports
  • Coordinate the issuing and returning of keys for large-scale projects
  • Perform clerical duties including spreadsheet organization, file maintenance, and mail distribution
  • Review and process FMS/AiM work requests, including triage and customer follow-up
  • Assist the Key Systems Supervisor with special projects and data collection

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a customer service setting
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritizing skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with legible penmanship
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to various software applications
  • Self-motivated with excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Google Suite (Email, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as AiM/FMS
  • Knowledge of doors, locks, keys, and key systems
  • Familiarity with University of Michigan Key Office software and procedures
