Customer Service Representative II

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Process customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or in-person counter sales.
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices within established parameters to influence gross profit.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.
• Manage inventory levels by sourcing products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventory.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods and expedite backorders.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer returns and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0-3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Moderate computer skills, including email, business systems, and internet research.
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening.
• Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with industrial product knowledge.
