Customer Service Representative II

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in counter sales.
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within established parameters.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.
• Manage inventory levels by ordering items and sourcing products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventory.
• Expedite backorders and determine the most cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• Assist less experienced Customer Service Representatives with problem-solving and locating items.
• Work onsite at customer locations more than 50% of the time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 to 5 years of related customer service or industrial distribution experience.
• Strong computer skills and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening.
• Strong negotiation skills to manage pricing and profitability.
• High level of reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
