About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service via telephone, email, web, and in-person interactions
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls to assist with service inquiries and promote solid waste services
- Resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints within established guidelines
- Coordinate with sales and on-the-road employees to provide instructions and assistance
- Track customer information, enter data into databases, and maintain new account files
- Process customer payments via phone and internet, and manage residential account subscriptions
- Generate work orders for drivers and ensure missed stops or special pickups are completed
- Perform administrative tasks including credit checks, contract scanning, and documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of customer service or call center experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
