About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide sales support to walk-in customers at Profit Centre counters
- Maintain, stock, and clean the counter sales area
- Answer customer questions, pick and enter orders, and follow up on backorders
- Research products and provide recommendations to customers
- Drive sales growth through counter merchandising and product promotion
- Process returns and warranty claims in compliance with procedures
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or counter sales experience
- Strong verbal communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to learn and operate order processing software
- Intermediate math skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn material handling equipment operation
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of plumbing and building products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to use the internet for problem-solving
