About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support to customers via telephone, email, and walk-ins
  • Answer customer inquiries, generate sales leads, and close sales
  • Research products and provide recommendations from the assortment
  • Enter quotations and sales orders via various channels
  • Grow and retain the established customer base
  • Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide delivery dates
  • Process returns and warranty claims in compliance with procedures
  • Support Counter Sales and Outside Sales activities
  • Resolve customer order issues according to company policies

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service or counter sales experience in Waterworks or a related industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs and close sales
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Experience with Trend or Eclipse software preferred
