About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide sales support to customers via telephone, email, and walk-ins
- Answer customer inquiries, generate sales leads, and close sales
- Research products and provide recommendations from the assortment
- Enter quotations and sales orders via various channels
- Grow and retain the established customer base
- Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide delivery dates
- Process returns and warranty claims in compliance with procedures
- Support Counter Sales and Outside Sales activities
- Resolve customer order issues according to company policies
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or counter sales experience in Waterworks or a related industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to identify customer needs and close sales
- Intermediate math skills
- Experience with Trend or Eclipse software preferred
