About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and process DOHMH license applications and relevant information
- Perform clerical work including data processing, recording, and maintaining records
- Check records for accuracy and conformity with established policies
- Perform mathematical computations while processing payments
- Provide high-volume customer service to applicants in person and via phone
- Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies to resolve licensing issues
- Answer telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence
- Attend seminars, meetings, and trainings
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of satisfactory clerical experience
- Ability to type at least 20 words per minute
