Responsibilities

  • Handle customer inquiries face-to-face, via phone, and through email regarding water and sewer utility billing
  • Process payments via cash, check, and credit card, and prepare daily deposits
  • Perform data entry and maintain customer files, including updating contact information
  • Process new accounts, service orders, and e-billing setups
  • Assist with leak adjustments and consumption reports
  • Use Cityworks and Tyler Content Management for documentation and service requests

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 1-3 years of high-volume cash handling experience
  • 2-3 years of customer service and clerical experience
  • Valid Mississippi driver’s license
  • Typing speed of at least 30 wpm
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
  • Proficiency in computer applications
