About the role
Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries face-to-face, via phone, and through email regarding water and sewer utility billing
- Process payments via cash, check, and credit card, and prepare daily deposits
- Perform data entry and maintain customer files, including updating contact information
- Process new accounts, service orders, and e-billing setups
- Assist with leak adjustments and consumption reports
- Use Cityworks and Tyler Content Management for documentation and service requests
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years of high-volume cash handling experience
- 2-3 years of customer service and clerical experience
- Valid Mississippi driver’s license
- Typing speed of at least 30 wpm
- Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
- Proficiency in computer applications
