About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive telephone customer requests for price quotations, purchase orders, and cancellations
- Use AS400/EView to retrieve customer information and manage stock status
- Follow up on inquiries regarding delivery information and shipment status
- Provide price quotations via phone
- Maintain systems files of active orders and post activity changes
- Maintain expert knowledge of produce commodities to consult customers
- Support outside salespersons with administrative tasks and special projects
- Ensure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut-off times
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
- High accuracy with figures and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Windows Office suite and Outlook
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Proven time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail or wholesale produce experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant experience
