Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their financial needs.
• Provide advice and guidance on banking solutions, including digital and self-serve options.
• Handle banking transactions and customer inquiries with seamless execution.
• Initiate referrals to BMO colleagues for specialized banking or credit card needs.
• Support branch operational activities such as cash reconciliation, inventory management, and opening/closing procedures.
• Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy.
• Proactively engage customers in needs-based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking plans.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
• High level of digital literacy, including confidence using tablets, smartphones, and online banking tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a professional business environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges.
• Ability to work a part-time schedule (minimum 18.75 hours per week) with flexibility for branch hours.
• Post-secondary degree or certification in a related field is desirable but not required.
