About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their financial needs.
- Provide advice and guidance regarding banking solutions, including digital and self-serve options.
- Handle banking transactions and customer inquiries with seamless execution.
- Initiate referrals to BMO colleagues for specialized products and services.
- Support branch operational activities such as inventory management, cash reconciliation, and opening/closing procedures.
- Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy.
- Proactively engage customers in needs-based conversations to identify opportunities for credit cards and everyday banking plans.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
- Digital literacy with confidence using tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for a business environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to different branch needs or shifts.
- Post-secondary degree or certification in a related field is desirable but not required.
