About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their financial needs.
- Provide advice and guidance regarding banking solutions, including digital and self-serve options.
- Handle banking transactions and customer inquiries with seamless execution.
- Initiate referrals to BMO colleagues for specialized banking or credit card needs.
- Support branch operational activities such as inventory management, filing, and opening/closing procedures.
- Manage, load, and reconcile cash transactions between treasury and various branch units.
- Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy.
- Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
- High level of digital literacy, including confidence using tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in a business environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a versatile branch team.
- Post-secondary degree or certification in a related field is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience helping customers gain confidence in using digital banking applications.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
- A proactive, resourceful approach to customer service and relationship building.
