About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their financial needs.
  • Provide advice and guidance regarding banking solutions, including digital and self-serve options.
  • Handle banking transactions and customer inquiries with seamless execution.
  • Initiate referrals to BMO colleagues for specialized banking or credit card needs.
  • Support branch operational activities such as inventory management, filing, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Manage, load, and reconcile cash transactions between treasury and various branch units.
  • Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy.
  • Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
  • High level of digital literacy, including confidence using tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in a business environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a versatile branch team.
  • Post-secondary degree or certification in a related field is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience helping customers gain confidence in using digital banking applications.
  • Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
  • A proactive, resourceful approach to customer service and relationship building.
