About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations in the customer service department across multiple sites (Falconer, NY and Muskegon, MI)
- Develop and implement a customer service strategy aligned with aerospace sector needs to deliver superior customer experience
- Foster a culture of openness, empowerment, ownership, and accountability within the team
- Handle escalations, address complaints, and analyze root causes to propose preventive actions
- Review and monitor orderbooks, purchase order processes, and monthly shipments to ensure customer deliveries are met
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and ease of doing business
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and direct input to support resource development and team alignment
- Support Accounts Receivable resolution and payment processes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role with a proven track record of building and motivating teams
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or a related field of study
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers
- Ability to travel as needed
