About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and build strong client relationships
- Act as a liaison between customers and other departments to resolve inquiries
- Manage customer purchase orders, ensuring compliance with contract terms
- Supervise and coach the customer service team daily
- Coordinate shipments, export documentation, and customs paperwork
- Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, and meat inspection services
- Execute RFPs with carriers to optimize freight options and reduce costs
- Oversee pickups and deliveries to ensure appointment compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and SQF program requirements
- Manage and dispute client penalties with necessary documentation
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the food industry
