About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on CT, MR, and AX medical imaging equipment in the South Georgia area.
- Deliver timely and effective repairs and provide adequate training to operators to ensure optimal system performance.
- Manage financial performance within the assigned territory, including revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
- Maintain company assets such as a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
- Ensure all tool and test equipment are managed according to calibration expiration dates and documented correctly.
- Establish and maintain professional business relationships with customers and peers.
- Provide mentoring to other Customer Service Engineers on various competencies and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
- Proficiency in using tools and service test equipment.
- Ability to locate, read, and understand technical documents, including schematics, block diagrams, and functional descriptions.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to drive independently.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders/stepstools, bend, twist, and perform fine grasping manipulation.
