About the role

Responsibilities

  • Handle moderate to complex insurance inquiries, including policy and billing questions, via inbound and outbound communications
  • Process changes to customer policies accurately based on provided information
  • Input and track customer requests and documentation into appropriate databases
  • Resolve routine and unique service concerns to ensure first-call resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Explain customer documentation clearly and provide necessary follow-up instructions
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling products to interested customers
  • Stay current on new marketing campaigns and resource tools to respond to inquiries effectively
  • Employ active listening and empathy to address customer issues with compassion

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of experience in a customer service or related role
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, processes, and procedures
  • Proficiency in database management and customer data entry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an insurance or financial services environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex customer service transactions
