About the role
Responsibilities
- Confer with customers via telephone or in person to provide product information, manage account cancellations, or gather details regarding complaints
- Resolve service or billing disputes through appropriate actions such as exchanges or adjustments
- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken
- Complete contract forms, update change of address records, and issue service discontinuance orders using computer systems
- Determine service charges, collect deposits or payments, and arrange for billing
- Solicit sales of new or additional products and services to existing customers
- Investigate the validity of complaints by examining relevant information and determining possible causes of malfunctions
- Refer unresolved grievances to upper management for further investigation
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service capacity
- At least 1 year of experience in outbound calling
- Strong sales skills with the ability to overcome objections
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work as an independent self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility
