About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the Project Quality Engineering team to secure product and process quality for automotive lighting solutions.
  • Manage APQP activities from the initial quote phase through post-launch to ensure all VPDS events meet quality standards.
  • Oversee team management tasks including resource planning, training coordination with HR, and budget control for travel and timekeeping.
  • Act as a coach and catalyst for the application of AIAG Core Tools across all required departments.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for test failures using VSPS and VPRS, ensuring lessons learned are documented and implemented.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to implement advanced technologies that reduce customer-reported quality concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and manage quality documentation such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Support design verification, product validation testing, and the review of pre-production part builds.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optics, or Chemical/Materials engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in quality management or engineering.
  • Proven experience in molded plastic product design and engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and PPAP).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Experience interfacing with automotive OEMs is highly desired.
