Customer Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary quality interface between the customer and Gotion
• Manage customer quality complaints and establish 8D problem-solving reports
• Organize cross-departmental failure analysis (FA) to identify root causes
• Develop and supervise temporary containment measures for quality accidents
• Conduct preliminary on-site analysis of faulty components including visual and electrical testing
• Coordinate customer audits such as VDA6.3 and IATF16949
• Track quality KPIs including PPM, FTT, and claim rates
• Utilize quality tools like SPC and DOE for process improvement
• Provide on-site quality support and handle anomalies at customer locations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
• 3+ years of experience in customer quality management
• Experience in automotive, power battery, or energy storage industries preferred
• Proficiency in quality tools including 8D, 5Why, FMEA, SPC, and DOE
• Skilled in on-site failure verification and battery system fault diagnosis
• Analytical proficiency with Minitab, Excel, and Power BI
• Experience with audit coordination (VDA6.3, IATF16949)
• Familiarity with battery pack production and module assembly processes
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
• Proficiency in English reading and writing
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
