Customer Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert to support the Buckman South Africa business
• Provide technical expertise for field equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient chemical feed solutions
• Standardize equipment design in alignment with global standards
• Facilitate and coordinate HAZOP studies and HCAS governance for customer service equipment
• Manage assets and oversee equipment planning, management, and reporting processes
• Foster strong relationships with customers to act as a trusted advisor
• Support management in identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years of experience in relevant industrial markets
• Technical knowledge of pumps and control monitors used in industrial chemical feed systems
• Strong understanding of materials of construction and chemical compatibility
• Ability to lead HAZOP studies
• Valid driver's license and computer literacy (Microsoft Office and business systems)
• Ability to travel extensively and work in physically challenging plant environments
