Customer Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair financial and ATM equipment within an assigned territory to ensure operational continuity
• Resolve customer incidents and problems in compliance with Service Level Agreements
• Perform repairs and component replacements on Tier I equipment, including PCs, workstations, printers, and POS systems
• Conduct First Line Maintenance on ATMs, kiosks, and single pocket proof encoders
• Assist with site preparation, including cable installation, equipment staging, and testing
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance and diagnose hardware problems
• Maintain accurate records of calls, activities, expenses, and parts inventory
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with local customer accounts

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Up to one year of related experience in field service or technical support
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience with Windows XP/2000 operating systems
• Experience in PC hardware maintenance and support
• High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Experience maintaining computer hardware, routers, networks, switches, and hubs
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts
• Ability to lift tools and parts weighing up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like bending or standing for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree
• Previous experience with NCR or similar financial equipment
• CCNA certification
• A+ Certification
• Education in Electronics and Communications Engineering
