Customer Debug Lead

Responsibilities

• Work closely with MDC, OEM, and ODM partners to enable successful deployment of AMD server platforms.
• Provide technical collateral including application notes, customization guides, and reference design materials.
• Perform bringing up support and debugging on internal and external reference and production designs.
• Engage directly with customers on key technical topics, architecture discussions, and performance optimizations.
• Drive product platform debug efforts to identify root causes and resolutions for AMD's Server SoC.
• Provide on-site support to accelerate issue closure and meet project schedules.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 15+ years of server product development experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Hardware/Software platform design and system architecture.
• Proven experience working directly with customers to enable production.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages including C/C++, Python, or Shell.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of modern x86 microprocessor architecture and Server platform architecture.
• Experience with computer hardware architecture (CPU/APU/GPU, PCIe, memory, bus logic) and software architecture (OS, driver, firmware).
• Experience with post-silicon validation methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of x86 microarchitecture and RAS (reliability, Availability, and Serviceability).
• Working knowledge of Server OSes such as Linux and Windows Server.
