Customer Data Specialist

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Learning, Research, and Marketing teams to understand reporting needs.
• Translate complex stakeholder requests into accurate, well-structured reports and visualizations that illuminate IXL usage and student growth.
• Develop a deep understanding of IXL's databases and proactively identify opportunities to refine and improve data reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering on intricate data requests, escalating and problem-solving effectively to deliver accurate outputs.
• Support key accounts by providing data-driven insights and custom reports to optimize IXL's implementation within schools and districts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., data analyst, data-driven customer success, or marketing analytics).
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear reports and visualizations.
• Experience managing confidential customer data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a queue of requests independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib).
