Customer Cloud Engineer

Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally use Hawk’s combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve AML compliance and fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Enable technical pre-sales by providing guidance on architecture, deployment, and operational expectations.
• Standardize onboarding and deployment by building automation and tooling to reduce environment setup time.
• Design and evolve deployment patterns to ensure environments are stable, observable, and easy to operate across AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, and Tanzu.
• Partner with Technical Support and engineering teams to resolve complex issues and create runbooks and documentation.

Requirements

• Solid experience building and operating cloud-native systems
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Ability to debug and resolve issues across infrastructure and application layers
• Comfort working across both build and operate functions
• Clear, structured thinking with a focus on simplification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OpenShift or VMware Tanzu
• Familiarity with data-heavy systems such as OpenSearch, Kafka, or databases
• Experience supporting enterprise customers or regulated environments
• Exposure to CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation
