Customer Account Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and orders via phone, email, and mail
• Manage the full order lifecycle from entry and product research to delivery coordination and issue resolution
• Research engineering records, drawings, and bills of material to ensure correct parts identification and pricing
• Monitor inventory levels, pricing, and profit margins, recommending adjustments based on sales trends
• Proactively manage customer accounts by building relationships and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and finance teams to resolve complex customer issues and ensure seamless fulfillment
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions using CRM and ERP systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• 1-3 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in account management or order processing
• Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
• 3-5 years of proven experience in sales order management and upselling/cross-selling
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical systems or tools
