Customer Account Manager Brokerage

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with existing brokerage customers to drive internal business growth
• Negotiate rates and services for FTL, LTL, and Intermodal shipments
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for managed accounts
• Respond to sales inquiries and provide pricing for transactional and proposal-based business
• Ensure proper follow-up and management of all loads to meet service expectations
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify potential customers and foster brokerage growth
• Position brokerage services effectively within the NFI network

Requirements

• 3-5 years of brokerage experience, specifically with domestic truckload, LTL, and intermodal shipments
• Familiarity with DOT trucking regulations, including Hours of Service and claims
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Rudimentary knowledge of TMS programs used for brokerage services
• Strong market knowledge of truckload lanes and rates
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of calls
• BA or BS Degree preferred
