Custodian

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and cleaning of all college facilities
• Execute set-up for special events and manage building security by locking and unlocking facilities as required
• Manage inventory functions and material requisitions for supplies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by college administrative personnel

Requirements

• 1-year of experience in the custodian trade
• Working knowledge of custodial equipment and power tools, such as buffers, burnishers, scrubbing units, and carpet equipment
• Knowledge of environmental products, their applications, and proper disposal procedures
• Ability to read, write, and understand oral and written communications
• Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs, climb step ladders, twist, bend, and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform manual tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
