Custodian

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties within dormitories, offices, and public facilities during the night shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM).
• Pick up and dispose of trash and handle recyclable materials properly.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and operate floor machines, wet vacs, or carpet extractors.
• Clean glass surfaces, windows, and entrance doors.
• Sanitize washrooms, showers, and toilet facilities.
• Vacuum carpets and clean walk-off mats.
• Remove snow and ice and clear debris from entrances, steps, and walkways.
• Report equipment malfunctions or damages to the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
• Ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff in a positive and helpful manner.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, bend, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of professional custodial or cleaning experience.
