Custodian Supervisor A

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily custodial operations for university facilities ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 square feet
• Schedule, assign, and supervise work performed by the custodial crew
• Perform quality inspections to ensure work completion meets university standards
• Provide orientation and training for new employees
• Oversee major operations including pressure washing, window cleaning, and exterior surface maintenance
• Inspect buildings and equipment and report necessary repairs to the Customer Service Center
• Manage documentation regarding time, leave, personnel evaluations, and disciplinary actions
• Maintain responsibility for the safekeeping of keys for campus buildings and classrooms
• Supervise the preparation and disassembly of areas and equipment for special events

Requirements

• Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and ascend/descend stairs throughout the day
• Ability to move furniture and equipment weighing at least 20 pounds
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug/alcohol testing
