Custodian Supervisor A

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coach employees on general cleaning, floor care, and event set-ups
• Oversee the overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility, including lobbies, bathrooms, hallways, and meeting rooms
• Manage floor care processes such as stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and buffing
• Coordinate event set-ups and break-downs for meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exterior grounds
• Manage administrative tasks including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and reviewing daily shift reports
• Oversee employee attendance, time sheets, and performance evaluations
• Conduct initial custodial training and service training on specialized equipment like scrubbers and carpet extractors

Requirements

• Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work
• Physical ability to perform manual work, including standing for extended periods and ascending/descending stairs
• Ability to move furniture weighing 20-40 lbs and transport tables and chairs weighing 60-80 lbs
• Capability to work a Sunday through Thursday shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
• Ability to work with and be exposed to common cleaning products
