Custodian

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including entryways, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, classrooms, and other facility spaces
• Empty trash and ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling
• Perform deep-cleaning projects such as carpet cleaning and floor refinishing
• Complete cleaning of vacated rooms or facility areas as needed
• Assist with campus event set-ups and tear-downs for events like Graduation and Homecoming
• Help maintain department-assigned vehicles
• Keep work areas neat, safe, and organized
• Collaborate with other departments and custodial staff to meet University standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be approved as a University driver
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably
• Agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant
• Ability to safely use cleaning tools and equipment and climb ladders
