Custodian

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain zoo buildings, viewing windows, signs, and walkways
• Disinfect surfaces and clean restrooms and guest areas
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
• Restock products in assigned areas
• Maintain janitorial and storage areas in clean condition
• Perform event set up and breakdown tasks
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hour shifts
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or general housekeeping experience
