Custodian

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and disinfect all interior and exterior components of college facilities
• Inspect, operate, and maintain cleaning equipment
• Move and reset furniture for routine setups and special events based on diagrams
• Follow protocols for cleaning substances potentially containing bloodborne pathogens
• Collect and remove trash, recycling, and compost
• Conduct routine inspections of building components and safety devices
• Order and restock supplies in a fiscally responsible manner

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans and event diagrams
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to perform moderate physical tasks including lifting, bending, twisting, and climbing
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays
• Strong time management and communication skills
