Custodian Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct building cleaning services, special events, special projects, floor maintenance, and pest control for over 20 campus buildings.
• Prepare and assign work schedules for subordinate employees and supervisors.
• Use the Work Control System for scheduling and reviewing work orders, including oversight of weekend crews and on-call rotations.
• Assist department heads with personnel management, including hiring, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and evaluations.
• Develop procedures and practices to improve the efficiency and continuity of Building Services activities.
• Meet with Building Coordinators to gather feedback on service quality and maintain accurate personnel records.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
• Valid driver's license (subject to MVR check).
• Ability to serve as emergency essential personnel, reporting to campus during emergencies or closures.
• Ability to pass required drug screenings for safety and security-sensitive positions.
