Custodian I

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties including dusting, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and emptying waste containers
• Collect recycled paper and manage waste disposal
• Check and replace restroom supplies and light bulbs
• Maintain floors by stripping, refinishing, and cleaning with auto scrubbers and auto burnishers
• Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety programs

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently
• Ability to wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Physical ability to perform frequent bending, squatting, and stooping

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience
• Experience operating an auto scrubber (ride-on or walk-behind) or auto burnisher
• Experience stripping, waxing, and refinishing floors
• Experience shampooing carpets and using carpet extractors
