Custodian I

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings and facilities, including floors, walls, glass, and furniture
• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and shampooing rugs
• Prepare cleaning solutions per specifications and use chemical cleaners and power equipment safely
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
• Manage waste removal by gathering trash and emptying recycling bins
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Monitor building security by locking doors after hours and checking for electrical hazards
• Maintain janitor’s closet and ensure equipment is in good working order
• Drive company vehicles such as vans or industrial trucks if required

Requirements

• 1 year of relevant experience in industrial or commercial cleaning
• US citizenship or Permanent Residency to obtain facility security credentials
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
• Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
• Ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during a shift
