Custodian

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors by vacuuming carpets and dry/wet mopping
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, common areas, and entrances
• Replenish supplies such as toilet rolls, hand towels, and soap
• Dust visible surfaces including countertops, pillars, and vents
• Wipe and polish office furniture and glass windows
• Spot clean walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
• Clean and polish chrome and stainless steel
• Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related legislation
• Participate in educational programs and in-service trainings

Requirements

• Ability to communicate with supervisors and the general public
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• WHMIS certification (training provided)
• Clear criminal background check and security clearance
• Reliable transportation to and from the working site
