Custodian

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, gyms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets as needed
• Clean and restock restrooms, including sinks, toilets, fixtures, soap, paper products, and mirrors
• Maintain classroom and facility cleanliness, including countertops, furniture, windows, doors, blinds, HVAC vents, and AC units
• Remove trash, recycling, and debris from indoor and outdoor areas
• Operate custodial equipment such as floor buffers, shampooers, and vacuums
• Monitor and reorder cleaning supplies
• Maintain academy grounds including walkway cleaning, debris removal, snow and ice removal, and salting
• Follow all academy policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years of experience in a commercial or institutional cleaning environment
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting 10–60 lbs
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
