Custodian

Responsibilities

• Keep commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain an adequate inventory of hygiene and cleaning supplies
• Operate floor cleaning and other specialized janitorial equipment
• Remove trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wash offices, hallways, restrooms, and kitchen areas
• Shampoo carpets and strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
• Maintain and re-supply restrooms and perform routine checks
• Monitor buildings for maintenance, safety, or security issues and report violations
• Adhere to all safety practices and procedures

Requirements

• Must possess an active Top Secret clearance
• Two years of janitorial experience, including knowledge of cleaning solutions and equipment operation, OR a high school diploma/equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous professional custodial experience
